Accepting the Retainer Agreement

Accepting the Retainer Agreement

Congratulations!  You and your prospect have crafted an excellent Investment Analysis, and you’ve successfully turned a prospect into a client.  You should now have an emailed or scanned copy of the signed Retainer Agreement in your device and have collected your established Retainer Fee.  Here’s what to do next:

  1. Importing/Uploading the Retainer Agreement.

    1. Click the Investment option in the left-hand menu.

    2. Find and click on the respective Investment.

    3. CHANGE STATUS… to “Retainer Signed.”

    4. Click on the attachments link toward the bottom of the center pane.

    5. Click the BROWSE… icon to the right of Upload your Signed Retainer Agreement.

    6. Locate the scanned or emailed file of the Retainer Agreement to upload to the Attachments page.

    7. You will now see this document in the UPLOADED section of the Attachments page.

  2. At the Investment Meeting, you explained the process of what happens once there is a formal commitment via Retainer Agreement.  If there has been a significant time span since then, it would be a good idea to go into some detail on your process for creating a formal design and quote.  Some basic next steps and points to discuss are:

    1. Visit the project site for assessment and precise measurements.

    2. Create a graphic rendering of the final project.

    3. Develop a formal quote with exact makes and models of products to be used.

    4. Set realistic expectations and time frame for completion of the final design.
